Leah is highly experienced and qualified and regularly invests in new training to better the care provided at Elm Lea. She firmly believes that Elm Lea is our residents HOME for life and that they remain at our home for as long as they like, unless of course we are no longer able to meet their care needs. Leah is local to the home and close by to address any problems as they arise.
We have a friendly, dedicated team of 14 staff, making a ratio of 1.07 to residents; this ensures the highest quality care and attention at all times. Many of our staff are NVQ2 and NVQ3 trained.
All new staff are expected to complete The Care Certificate within the first 6 months of their employment. This is made up of 15 minimum standards covering duty of care, safeguarding, awareness of mental health and more. Once our staff have completed The Care Certificate they go on to achieve their NVQ2 and NVQ3 in social care.

Training is continuous for all staff members and they will continue to learn about Medication, Dementia, First Aid, Moving and Handling, Fire Training, Mental Capacity.
We also have two fully trained chef’s who prepare wholesome home-cooked meals every day.
We are a small care home, with a cosy, homely feel. The high staff to resident ratio means that we are able to provide highly personal care and this helps to create closer relationships that leads to better experiences for residents.
Elm Lea Residential Care Home is a Trusted Care recommended provider.
